Analyst/Associate – Capital Formation Operations

Pennybacker Capital is seeking an Analyst or Associate level Capital Formation Operations team member to join its growing team within Pennybacker’s established real assets private equity business. Pennybacker Capital is a forward-thinking, technology-focused, real assets private equity firm that invests in transformational opportunities in high-growth markets across the United States. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative individual who is comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment to drive change and build a platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing and maintaining track record analysis, consultant questionnaires/databases and related due diligence questionnaires such as RFPs/DDQs
  • Collaborative preparation and distribution of quarterly reporting processes for all existing products
  • Managing and tracking communications with existing and prospective investors, as well as maintaining and updating of firm CRM system
  • Ensuring consistent and up-to-date presentation of firm's corporate identity through business descriptions, PowerPoint presentations and similar communications vehicles
  • Working with the finance/accounting, alpha investment intelligence and innovation, portfolio management, and portfolio optimization (asset management) teams to understand and communicate strategy and performance effectively
  • Collaborative review and approval of prospective investor documentation
  • Planning and deep involvement in firmwide investor events (including the Annual Investor Meeting)
  • Assist in creation of new fund offerings including legal, marketing, and competitor analysis

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1 - 3 years institutional investment sales support function, business development, or investor relations experience within the real assets fund sector
  • Excellent self-starter demeanor, interpersonal, communication, time management and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish credibility with institutional investors
  • Significant investor outreach and communication required
  • Works well under pressure and has significant attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Austin, TX location preferred with 5-days a week in-office attendance
