Data Analyst

Pennybacker Capital is seeking a data analyst to join its Technology & Data Analytics team to lead data analytics and visualization efforts.  The ideal candidate is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and has ample experience analyzing complex datasets and creating visualizations to support decision making. A sense of urgency, attention to detail and a passion for problem solving and creating impactful tools to drive change are key to success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate across teams to understand key metrics to measure performance and risk;
  • Manage data flow to Power BI dashboards and create new visuals and dashboards to support the real estate and infrastructure teams
  • Perform statistical analyses and identify trends and correlations with large datasets to inform and drive investment decisions, with an opportunity to grow into predictive modeling;
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data through unit tests, regression testing, and other means;
  • Work closely with investment and portfolio optimization teams to share insights and findings.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency with one or more scripting languages (Python, R, etc.) and capable of data wrangling and manipulation;
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server/Azure experience preferred);
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent;
  • Accounting and/or finance experience preferred;
  • Experience with data ingestion via API and/or web scraping (e.g. Selenium, BeautifulSoup) preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
