Colin Scarola is an associate on the investment team. He focuses on underwriting and valuation of potential investments and is responsible for market fundamentals research.
Colin was previously an assistant project manager and field engineer for the startup firm Certus Controls. He performed building automation contract work for construction firms and real estate developers in the New York City area; his time was largely spent at building sites, overseeing the installation of climate control systems. Through this role, Colin developed strong personal relationships with developers and discovered a passion for real estate finance and investing.
Colin’s first professional position was as an associate mechanical engineer at the aerospace engineering firm Pratt & Whitney, designing and testing jet engine lubrication components.
Colin completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude. During his enrollment at Notre Dame, he earned recognition for research in flow dynamics and material properties. Colin graduated at the top of his class from the MS Finance program at the University of Texas, with concentrated studies on fundamental valuation.
