Capital Formation Analyst

Pennybacker Capital is seeking a Capital Formation Analyst to join its dynamic and entrepreneurial team, reporting to the Associate on the Capital Formation and Investor Relations team. Pennybacker Capital is a rapidly growing real estate private equity firm that invests across the growth markets of the United States on behalf of institutional investors and family offices. We are looking for a highly motivated, qualified professional with a proven track record of achievement and collaboration to join our team.


Capital Formation

  • Develop marketing materials (investor presentations, private placement memoranda, due diligence questionnaires quarterly communication materials, website updates, property tour books, annual meeting presentations) in collaboration with colleagues across various groups
  • Ensure all investor materials are in line with compliance standards by coordinating with the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Responsible for updating marketing materials at regular cadences
  • Track investor follow-up and touch points for Capital Formation team
  • Compile accounting information and conduct detailed financial and real estate data analyses in response to prospective investor due diligence requests during fundraising

Project & Investor Data Management

  • Facilitate delivery of prospective investor information requests through completion and coordination with internal teams
  • Review and track subscription documents for new investors
  • Manage Capital Formation’s internal systems including the CRM and email marketing software


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred (advanced degree and CPA a plus)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a client-service environment (i.e., consulting firm, public accounting, alternative investment firm)
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and finance with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting high performing teams
  • Confident under pressure and adept at meeting deadlines
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities
  • Team player who is seeking a dynamic, fast-paced environment
