Analyst/Associate, Capital Formation Operations

Pennybacker Capital is seeking an Analyst/Associate of Operations to join its growing capital formation team within Pennybacker’s established real assets private equity business. Pennybacker Capital is a forward-thinking, technology-focused, real assets private equity firm that invests in transformational opportunities in high growth markets across the United States. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative leader who is comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced environment to drive change and build a platform.


  • Preparing track record analysis, consultant questionnaires/databases and related due diligence questionnaires such as RFPs/DDQs
  • Assist in creation of new fund offerings/PPM’s
  • Continuous building and maintenance of a deep understanding of the Firm's historical, recent/current and upcoming fund offerings
  • Planning and deep involvement in the annual investor meeting
  • Managing and tracking communications with existing and prospective investors, as well as maintaining and updating of firm CRM system
  • Working with the finance/accounting and portfolio & asset management team to understand and communicate performance and strategy
  • Ensuring consistent and up-to-date presentation of firm's corporate identity through business descriptions, PowerPoint presentations and similar communications vehicles
  • Portion of the role may include investor relations for certain clients or consultants as determined by the Head of Capital Formation
  • Maintain working knowledge of competitors


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics
  • 3+ years institutional investment sales support function, business development, or investor relations experience within the real assets fund sector
  • Excellent self-starter demeanor, interpersonal, communication, time management and presentation skills
  • Ability to establish credibility with institutional investors
  • Significant investor outreach and travel required
  • Works well under pressure and has significant attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
